Aoshima Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series

Built this one last fall, had to wait for it to be published (June issue of Scale Auto) to share here.

Kit built OOB, I found the color scheme online and found the gloss black wheels really improve the look a lot, I'm not a big fan of the "spider" like wheels when they're done w/a machine finish.

Enjoyable kit to build; I didn't have any real issues building it. Learning from the SL63, I attached the wheels to the suspension before assembling, rather than after, so they fit nice and snug w/o any wobble.

Yeah, you showed how nice the 63 could clean up; but except for the engine, I think the 65 is just a better starting point overall.
