89 ford v6 turns over but no spark

need help ive got a 89 ford thunderbird that ive replaced ciol and all other things i can think of but still no spark can anyone give me a ideal i pulled the plug which connects to the ciol pack and tested the positive side of plug and not hot with key on then i went to back side of plug and got a hot

Which V6 engine do you have? I have no hands on with the 89 Thunderbird, but a lot with the 89 Taurus. The most common thing to go dead is the ignition module on the side of the distributor. Could also be the stator inside the distributor.
