How much work have you put into your car?

I hope this ain't in the wrong forum :o

As for me I am a little of both external with a few bolt ons. For performance I just have an intake, exhaust and an underdrive pulley. For appearance, lowered, wheels, shaved antenna, clear corners on front, and grille inserts. Then there's the stereo system...which has had more work into it than the rest of the car.

There was a similar thread about how much money is invested in ur ride, but i dont know where it went.

Its a Caprice so its not easy to find preformance stuff to do to it. I have a niice stereo in there. All I have done to my car preformance wise is some exhaust work, and I got a K&N Airflow kit thingy on there. Its not the right one for my car cause I couldnt find one for a caprice, but I was able to modify it a bit, and it works good. Oh ya and new platium spark plugs and new wires.

Currently saving up for some new rubber, and im putting in a set of gauges for oil press, water press, and voltage this weekend.

I plan on doing more when money grows on trees (or I get a job for the off-season--whatever comes first)!!!
But for right now, all I have done is gotten new rear deck speakers for the stock ones I blew out... Infinity 652i's Dang, did that take a lot of work!!!!! Not only do you have to remove the entire rear seat and plastic board, but I had to cut new holes in the plasticboard so that the new speakers would fit properly, which caused a whole new set of problems that I won't even get into!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I removed the restrictive air resonator for free That's about all I've done so far, money's tight in college. Once the winter is over, though, I'm going to get 4 7-spoke 15 inch Escort GT wheels and put 4 new summer tires on them. I'm also going to get some front turn signals off a Mercury Tracer, they are the exact same as mine except that they are clear with small orange reflectors instead of solid orange.

I know whatcha mean about the $$$ thing....I work full time and am still so broke I can't even pay attention. hehe. 90% of what I have put into my car as far as mods go was inherited from another friend and Alex.

Yep

I did a lot of work on my previous car, but it was more like maintenance/repair than "tuning"...

I've got a lot planned but for right now all I have done is removed the snorkel from the air box and put in a K&N drop in, not to much hp increase but sounds real nice. I won't do much else for a while exept new tires and shocks because I want to stay in E stock class for autoxing at least untill the end of next season.

mostly appearance mods and the system for now. little things such as puttin all clear lights in my headlights and takin off the front license plate and fillin the holes. plus the system which has too much so i dont feel like listing it all. maybe if u ask really nice ill tell little yellow accents on the inside too, pedals, lighter, and seatbelt pads. this summer if i can find some good cheap used stuff ill get some engine upgrades.
