Auto Repair Insurance - good idea?

Hello what do you all think about auto repair insurance? Is it a good idea? I have 2004 Odyssey and a 1997 Infiniti and I was considering purchasing it. One quote I received was about $2500 for 4 years or 60k miles of coverage. There would be a $100 deductible on each repair as well.

Any thoughts?

I have heard good things and bad things, to me it is just not worth the cost. Remember that is just my opinion, do whatever makes you happy and give peace of mind.

The only concern I would have for your two cars is the tranny in the Honda. They go bad frequently and the fix is expensive, $2500 to $4000 if you have all wheel drive.
Other than that I would say not to waste your money. Both your cars are well built and unless they have over 150,000 on them you should not have problems over the next 4 years.
