Re: NoviTech Rosso 458

Almost finished with wheels still a little touch up!! And a flat clear......... I must say this
was probably the hardest masking job of wheels ive ever done..lol
any ideas on how to paint my lug nuts????

And a few little odds and ends in the dehydrator and preparation for the upcoming marathon carbon session!!

Shortage of tamiya paint means m/m enamel drat those drying times
Anyone seen pics of the interior of this car??

Re: NoviTech Rosso 458

Here is my tip for painting lug nuts os such small "round studs"

I use a toothpick cut to get same diameter than target stud or nut.

I dip it into paint to get like a colored toothpick end and I simply apply this colored end on the target to "print" paint on it.
You just have to take care not to get too much paint on the toothpick end, just enough to "print" the stud or nut.

I get good not to say perfect result with this tip and I've forgotten brush since I tried it.

You're doing a good work so far, I like the color combo with rims and body.
I'm just wondering, but it may be the pics, if the rims aren't a bit too glossy, I would better see them mat as it seems to be on the real car, may be better with the white...

Not that I expected my tip to be used or not but I needed to know if such tip is usefull or not or if some more explanations or eventual pics are needed to be usefull...
(especially that I'm writing in English and it's not my first language, so always have a few doubt on being understand)
When posting to try to help we need to know it it really helps or not.
So a few words in this sense is everything needed.

Re: NoviTech Rosso 458

Drybrushing technique works well on raised surface. Then you can clean the areas you got paint on besides the lug nuts. Toothpicks do the trick too. Looking good.

Re: NoviTech Rosso 458

Small update:sand off "ferrari" for p/e

Carboned up

Painted up.. clearcoated up

Test-fit

As usual poor fit of hobby design resin parts I have absolutely no idea as to how to fix this. Guess ill just have to try some putty or something
