Throttle Cable Disconnect at TB?
Dumb Question:
How do I disconnect the throttle cable at the Throttle Body of my 02 Silverado 6.0? Don't want to break the little plastic connector. It appears to have a black plastic threaded insert on the cable, that goes through the cable connector. Do I just back that insert out? Thanks! Also, I'm removing the intake manifold, can I unbolt the Throttle Body and leave it in place? (So I don't have to disconnect the coolant lines, etc)? Thank you, -Jim

Re: Throttle Cable Disconnect at TB?
Got that one fairly quickly. Yes, you unscrew the threaded insert back out of the plastic clip/connector. There is a tiny plastic tab that keeps it from unscrewing, (it's toward the intake side of cable connector). You have to gently hold it back to unscrew the fitting.
