Fiat Abarth 1000 TCR

Hi!

This is my latest build, its a Gunze sangyo Abarth.
I have done a lot of changes with it like scratching the front wheel arches, accurizing the rear wheel arches and the front cooler.
The complete exhaust is also schratch built and I added plug wires/oil breathing tubes with catch tank.
The wheels are way to big(I know), but way better than original....

When i sprayed on the clearcote it got some kind if reaction, destroying the decals/paint......

Anyhow here it is...

I am pretty happy with the colorcombo and overall look, comments are welcome.

Thats a interesting color scheme on a rarely seen subject. I always paint a couple of plastic spoons at the same time i'm painting my model and apply a decal that wont be used on to the spoons and then clear coat them first before I spray the model.

The idea being that any issues or reactions that occur will be picked up on before spraying the actual model.

It was tamiya primer, paint and clear.

The Front cooler is trimmed down a lot, but still may be a bit big..?

I think they came in different shapes and sizes.

Here is two pics from an IPMS show earlier today, Its standing next to my R8.

Thanks! Roar

Re: Fiat Abarth 1000 TCR

Cool build.

As spray can clears are solvents, they will attack decals. I have found that one of the best measures to prevent this is to mist the clear first, then re-apply the clear in stages.

Your finish looks fine from the photos. I would benefit from a polish out IMO.
