PAG Oil for H6 Compressor - 2000 Silv. 5.3L
Hello.
I am replacing the compressor on my 2000 Reg. cab Silverado 5.3L. Since it was built at the truck & bus plant in Indiana, it has the Delphi H6 compressor. Apparently there are 3 different compressors for the same exact truck for 2000 and other years. What is the correct PAG oil for an H6 compressor? The only thing I have been able to dig up is a universal PAG oil called PAG Blue. Maybe the recommended oil has changed over time or no one knows for sure what the factory put in the first place. Thank you.

As long as you use PAG oil, you will be ok.

yes GM did change the pag number in later years. MY experience is do not change this in mid stream or you can get problems. if it was oem built with pag 150 then you go with pag 150. |
