Peugeot Quasar (1/24)

Premiering at the 1984 Paris Auto Show, the Quasar was a sporty two-seater with a low profile and a large glass area. The 600-horsepower 4-cylinder twin-turbo inline engine and four-wheel-drive system were fully visible from the rear. Inside, under the transparent dome, sat a one-piece full-width dashboard supported by the transmission tunnel. The stereo system and controls were housed on the passenger side. The dashboard and seats were finished in bright red leather. All digital instrumentation included transflective liquid crystals to provide optimum legibility day or night. A CRT monitor in the center of the vertical console served as a navigational system, a warning message display, and sent and received telex messages.








The project of this car in 24th scale ripened for a long time. Some years ago I had already been bought donor kits from Tamiya (one for me, another for my brother).



There are the engine, transmission, partially a suspension, brakes, steering and rear lamps will be used from these molds.







All the rest will be created from scratch. CAD models are doing by my brother Dmitry. At first there was done an external surface of a body and wheels.










Then there were modeled seats.





The transmission, engine and front suspension from Tamiya were remodeled for the future works on a cockpit.
















In the meantime, the first prototypes of anew created details have started to appear.





The first test assembly.



Today the works on the cockpit are started. The cockpit is not ready yet.

My brother uses the CATIA V5 R19 program. Me too.

Aston Martin Rapide.
But at first I want to finish some of my started projects, including McLaren F1, Lancia Stratos Zero, BMW M3 E30, BMW Turbo, Dino Competizione, Maserati Boomerang, etc.

The cockpit is finished now. And also doors, windows and some interior parts too. There is a little problem with a 3D printer on my job, therefore I can't print this parts right now. But I hope it will happen soon.

Yes, I use a 3D printer Objet Eden 350V. There will be made some resin copies of this model.
Today I want to show you ready doors with door trims.
