Gold Edition 'Bu
So, did I just flag myself as a twit for calling it a 'Bu or is that common?
Anyway, I was walking around a parts yard today trying to find parts for my 95 Voyager (having no luck) and decided that a pair of V6 badges off a 1997-2004 Malibu.would be nice since I too have a V6. However, all of the Malibus I found did not have a V6 badge and all of them were LSs as far as I know even though I do not know what an LS is. So, what Malibus have a V6 badge on them anyway? Ok, here is the reason I came here. What is a Gold Edition 1997-2004 Chevrolet Malibu LS? I scored the Gold Edition badge, but aside from some gold accents on the blackness of it all I am not sure. What causes Malibus to end up in junkyards anyway? |

Re: Gold Edition 'Bu
Gold Edition? I think you were looking at a Honda. Some Malibu's have a V6 on the deck lid.

Re: Gold Edition 'Bu
Gold Edition means that it was probably a Florida retiree car with fake vinyl roof, etc.
V6 logos were only on the 2002s as I recall (possibly the 2001s). Then they came back on the 2004+, but that's the later body style. Malibus end up in junk yards after they are worn out...200K+miles for sure....maybe sooner.... |
