Power steering hose keeps blowing off
I have a 05 Escape XLT sport I believe. Recently my power steering hose has been blowing off. I notice it only happens when it's cold. I read online somewhere that it is due to a faulty pump. It comes apart by the power steering reservoir. Any suggestions would be great. thanks.

Re: Power steering hose keeps blowing off
A first quick fix, try switching out the factory spring style clamp with a worm gear screw clamp. The hose over time and heat, along with contact with the power steering fluid on the end or outside, has probably expanded some. The spring clamp depends a small bit on the hose having a very tight fit to help with their job of keeping it in place. If the clamp is weak, and the hose expands, it will pop-off.

Re: Power steering hose keeps blowing off
I should have mention, I brought it to a mechanic and they replaced the hose and put two clamps on it.
