Civic Hood

Well its been some time , yet i got a hit and run from a must of SUV , cuz when i looked at my car and the hood on the side raised about a 1/2 inch , yet its still noticeable , i was wondering is there a way for me to bend this back out ? Heat it up and try to bend it back to place . Im not the expert..most of you guys are.

I have the exact same problem. There is a huge gap between my hood and my driver side fender. My hood isnt flush with my fenders either. Wrecks will mess your car up in ways you will never know. I've seen someone get hit in the front left of their car and the rear frame get messed up. You could get a new hood like I did. My new hood doesn't fit perfectly because of the wreck though. Is it your hood or your fender thats damaged?

The only thing wrong is that the part of the hood by the windshield is raised 1/2 an inch ?
If thats what the prob. is , ( dunno jus a suggestion , never happened ) then maybe, if you take your hood off, and bend it outwards ( stand w/ socks on or somin on top the hood where its too high, that might work a little, if not, you need more weight in the middle where its too high, and somin holdin the sides down so the middle can be pushed in more.. Thats jus what i'd do.. you got nothin to lose, might save you 400 dollars, or however much a hood costs ' now a days.. and i bet if you take it to a repair place, theyd' try the exact same thing and charge a butt load too !

jus my $0.02
