'98 Bonneville frame rust.
My 98 Bonneville has some rust on the engine cradle mount. Is there any repairing this? If not, how long should I expect the car to go for until this causes problems? The mount that sits in front of this one is still intact.

Re: '98 Bonneville frame rust.
No one can give you a definitive answer, but obviously hitting a deep pothole is a no-no.....
Just looking at the picture, can only imagine what the brake and fuel lines look like..... Looks like a typical NE car..... |

Brake lines aren't too bad, as they appear to have been replaced in the past. I believe fuel lines have been as well.

Re: '98 Bonneville frame rust.
I agree with tech..... Couldn't tell you how long you have left with that car... It can be fixed, but at what cost... as well your car looks like it has more rot than I would attempt to fix, and the the question would be at what cost?
Paint fade is one thing I hate about being in Florida, but the under carriage looks almost as good as it did when the car was new... No body rot here, and all the bolts come right out...lol I'd say if you make it all the way through this winter your lucky.. |
