Question Traveling 350 highway miles with used car...

I drive a 2000 Ford taurus with 158,000 miles...
I need to travel from NY to NJ approximately 350 miles each way. Is it safe for me to travel that distance. I would use cruise control and limit the speed to no more than 60-65 mph.
Let me add this...Keep in mind that Its not rare for me to drive 300-400 miles per week (CITY MILES). I always hear that highway miles are far better than city miles. I know its better on the breaks of course but explain why highway miles are better than city miles on the motor?

Re: Traveling 350 highway miles with used car...

big white bufflo,

The trip went well! I drove from New York to New Jersey and back with NO problem whatsoever! I actually put on over 800 miles. I couldn't believe the amount of gas I saved by using cruise control.
Your comment made sense and that's why I went ahead and drove.
Thanks,
Tony
