Heater core

I have a 2000 2dr blazer and I am smelling a strong smell of coolant through the heat ducts, but I still have heat. Is this a problem with the Heater core? If so, how will I go about accessing it to replace it? Do I have to remove the entire dash or just loosen it up enough?

Thanks,
Rob

Almost the whole instrument panel carrier needs to come out for you to get acess to the heater cover box. I would not reccomend you doing it because it is too easy to break something!
