Daughters 2000 Impala

My daughters 2000 Impala had all of her dash lights come on at once. Her ABS, Traction, and check engine light. I wanted to see if there were any codes which there was. The code PO410 came up twice. I dont think this is associated with the dash problem. Any ideas?

Re: Daughters 2000 Impala

P0410 is Secondary Air Injection...doubt that is your problem(would just turn the CE light on)........this usually fails on startup.....

Did they all come on because the car stalled, or did they all come on while she was driving? If the ABS came on and there were no ABS codes, could be a voltage problem......check battery, battery cable connections(clean and tight), and check the charging system....

Re: Daughters 2000 Impala

Have the codes checked on a scan tool capable of checking more than the P0xxx codes. The EPA requires that vehicle manufacturers allow customers access to codes related to emissions only. Past those codes, they don't HAVE to share the information, and most don't. It takes either a Tech-II scan tool, or some others that are reverse-engineered to read this information. Some code readers will also read P1xxx codes, but I have never seen a simple code reader that checks Cxxxx, Bxxxx, or Uxxxx codes, which are most likely present but not accessible by your code reader.

Re: Daughters 2000 Impala

When she started the car all of the lights came on and stayed on. In the"data center area" she now has a light that flashes Service Traction System. The ABS and TRACTION OFF light stay on continually. Seems they are all tied together?

Re: Daughters 2000 Impala

My 2000 ls had the Service Traction and ABS light come on while driving. The local GM dealer found a broken wire going to the front right wheel hub. That fixed it. Also, had the Secondary Air dtc code - small vacuum hose had fallen off after checking a plug wire near the firewall.
