1995 S10 2.2 no start

1995 S10 pu 280,880 miles.
I'm at work waiting for my brother-in-law for a tow. Went to lunch earlier no problems. Go out at 5:00 and plenty of battery, but no attempt to fire. Has to be no fuel or no spark, what are the most common issues that I should check for that could pop up that fast?

Unhappy Re: 1995 S10 2.2 no start

And the winner is......

Fuel pump!

Couldn't hear it when turning the key on, and it did not kick in when I applied 12 volt to the test wire under the hood.

Of course after a 60 minute tow behind my brother-in-law's 1996 S10 Blazer in 20 degree weather, it started up in my driveway. I guess I should have beat on the tank to see if it would start the pump and saved myself near hypothermia on the tow home.
