Post "Mini-rally" Exhibition - 24&25 may (Lots of pics !!56k beware!!)

HI all,

on 24 & 25 may, happened the "Mini-rally" show in Ressaix (Binche - Belgium ). This show is organised by a belgian policeman, fan of rally, and great modeler. He has more than 150 models about rally, all made by himself and of all kind ( WRC, belgian rally championship, ... ).
It's not a pure rally exhibition, you can find there all kind of models: military, figures, cars , bikes, trucks, planes, ... but the contest is one of the greatest about cars. Judges are coachworkers, car-painters, resellers, ... people of the automotive world able to really criticise your work and see each detail .

Each year, my club join this meeting and of course the contest...
we won some medals:
--Tuning-custom--
second: my best friend with an Impreza STi (light tuning) soon an AF-member with ID: Punch123
third: me with my golf MkIV

--Racing cars--
third: one of my member, Guy Toussaint, with a Cadillac 24h "Le Mans" 1/48

--Figures--
second: one of my member, Carine Toussaint, with a roman warrior 54mm

--Special price--
First woman: Carine Toussaint with her roman warrior

I will only present to you the "automotive" models of this exhibition, I have reduced the size so I hope it will quickly be visible. If you want a bigger pic, send me a mail with the reference.

Darn I've missed it

Oh well, impressive stuff and I have to agree with Oliver on the trucks!

No, it wasn't , it was 'Jean-luc Werion's Mini-rallly'. He is alone and he is his own club. I don't know when will happen the exhibition of " Les dingues du kit".

Next shows in our agenda:
07-08/06 Ligny-Fleurus "Voyage sur la planète de Gulliver" (Translation: "Trip on Gulliver's planet")

30-31/08 Mons-Cuesmes "Les amis du modélisme" (Translation: "Modeling friends")

If you want to come in wallonie, I'm ready to receive any

Talking

Thanks for all comments

This R33 was painted with real automotive paint, through an airbursh.
I cant' remeber the paint-code but I know it comes from The Peugeot range of colors. I'll send you a Pm asap with the paint-code.

Here is a better pic of this R33, also from my friend Marco "Punch123".

You'll soon see pics of his kits. I'm creating his profile and preparing articles ( He absolutely not speak and write english).

With the paint-code you can go in an automotive shop and ask for a spray can of this color. In Belgium, we have two brands: Motip and Dupont. I don't know what's available in USA.
At least, you can go to a Peugeot Dealer, they also have sprays of their color.

Are they Peugeot Dealers in USA

You can use Tamiya surfacer and clear coat with this kind of paint, it works fine, I tried it and no problems.

To the belgian members who follow this thread:
If you want to recognize me in a show, here is my head

I'll have to insert this pic in "Real name and age II".
