Crushes

I'm just curious to see how many other people have ever crushed on someone either online (like AF, AIM) or via snailmail (like a penpal)...

I'm guilty!!!!

I can't think of anytime that I did, but I'm sure I probably have, so I put maybe once just in case...

I personally can't fall for someone online, especially if I never have or never will meet him. Also the internet is a scary place sometimes. You can be anything or anyone behind a screen name.

Here's a little story on why one should be careful with meeting people on the web:

My sister hooked up with some guy off an internet dating service and ended up marrying him :apuke: The best way to describe him is a control-freak-nazi. He talks to her and her kids like he owns them. And all he talks about it money. Her first husband was killed in an accident 3 years ago...so we all know that means there was life insurance. I have a feeling he is one of these guys who marries widows...takes them for all they got and leaves. I ran his name thru our lovely court system and found 3 divorces, an annuled marriage, and 2 other incidents where he was charged on 3 counts of aggravated assault and class 5 felony influencing a witness...other than all that he's a great guy I found all this out AFTER he told my mom his wife of 14 years left him and he had been single since 1991.

I am sure there are plenty of good matched made on the web but I bet more bad than good ones have been made.

Maybe I should ask anybody that went on and had a relationship with the girl/guy after meeting online?

I have had web-crushes, but I have a policy of not meeting anyone via the net

Talking

I can honestly and proudly say I've never gone out with, had a crush or fallen for anyone on the internet :smoker:

Not me. I just cant develop a crush based on text on a screen (or a picture) The sound of someones voice is more important then the font they use.

Yeah I've had a few, mainly people who were close to me and i could meet. The closest girl that i ever met online lived less than 3 miles away . We only met like twice, never went out on a date but id have to say that was the most recent one.

Nope, never online, unless I knew and had met the actual person.

What about meeting a person some other way, then using the internet as one way to talk to each other?

It's up to you as to what you want to consider that....

I technically met my b/f on the telephone and then we grew together via the internet....
