Tires

Hello all. I have another question about a car other than a Grand Prix. I know this is the Grand Prix forum, but all the other forums seem to be pretty dead. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew if a P215/75/R16 tire would fit on a '99 Olds Intrigue. I believe the factory size is P215/60/R16. Thanks in advance.

Re: Tires

Incorrect. They wont even come close to fitting.

215/60/16 are 26.16" tall
215/75/16 are 28.70" tall

Re: Tires

GregGP, if I've mis-infomed you, I apologize, but i'd swear I've seen them mounted on a Intrigue before. Maybe not!

Re: Tires

They may rub on the strut or fenderwell. like stealth said they probably will not fit.

For those that wish they had the magic decoder ring to figure this out, read on.

215 = width of tire in millimeters
60 = height of tire from tread to bead, as a percentage of the width. In this case 60%, or 215 x .6 = 129 mm = 5.08 inches
16 = diameter of wheel, in inches

Total height = 5.08 + 16 + 5.08 = 26.16"
