87 deville ac help
hello 87 cadilliac deville just purchased i think its a 4.7 v8? anyways the ac is bad on it. replaced high pressure switch, compressor, fuses etc. Just wont work. can the system be swapped for a newer 90's caddy ac system or something of that nature. im sensative to heat so ac is a must for me. any ideas or help would be really great. my mechanic is a older fella and just has no idea what to do at this point.

Re: 87 deville ac help
Not sure what you mean by "swapping" systems. Probably not gonna happen, best to find out what is wrong with the system you have.

Re: 87 deville ac help
Seems like you have the perfect scenario-- old car and old mechanic-- he should feel right at home with that 25 yr old car!
Have you reset the possible a/c trouble code yet? Unhook battery for 10 seconds and try again..
