2000 cavalier z24 fuel pump issues

So my mechanic replaced the fuel pump and the relay and the fuel filter due to one day it just wouldn't start and i couldn't hear the fuel pump..... it started briefly then died ... now it still wont start again... he has traced all the voltage and it is good however he gets to the fuel pump there is no voltage...
What would cause no voltage to the fuel pump?

Thanks in advance.

I would have towed to a different repair shop.the no start condition would have to be diagnosed.starting with the fuel pump circuit.......power and ground.if you are going to diagnose and have a multimeter then can proceed from there but testing would have to be done.

Spray carb cleaner into the intake and see if it runs as long as you spray...
