Silvia S14A

hi to all, here it is my latest build, a Fujimi Nissan Silvia S14A, with many custom modification. it will represent a friend of mine's drift car, still in progress, so I got to go with my fantasy and his directions

the modifications:
Exterior
- custom made complete Uras body kit
- Aoshima Volk VR.G2 19" wheels, with custom work to fit them in a good stance
- resin casted Tamiya brakes
- custom work on the headlights (probably the worse part of the Fujimi kit) to make them more realistic, with improved lenses and elliptic lenses made of transparent sprue
- custom made Aerocatch hood pins
- custom made exhaust
- custom made FMIC and oil radiator
- modified radiator grill
- photoeches for door and trunk locks
- custom made bee decal

Interior
- swap to RHD to LHD
- custom made stripped interior
- resin casted steering wheel
- resin casted seats
- added details like Power FC, some cables and seatbelts

here are the pictures

Re: Silvia S14A

Very nice job!

I'd like to see some pictures (if you have any) of the modifications that you made to the wheels to get them to fit.

Re: Silvia S14A

Very nice indeed. I really like the paint scheme. Looks like it should be sponsored by Castrol.

Re: Silvia S14A

Nice work, especially with the body mods. How did you build the body kit? With putty?

Re: Silvia S14A

Excellent job so far! Do you have any pics of the body kit building process? I´m about to do a very similar kit and I´m not very good when scratchbuilding.

Re: Silvia S14A

really thank you

unfortunately I don't have some explanatory pictures of the suspension or the bodykit work..

all I can say, for the first one, I almost rebuild the front support because the box one was too slim and I also reduced it to fit the braking system, so I put a styrene rod and glued the brake disk on it (it was a bit harder then that, but this was the way I arranged it ) the most hard thing was to get a almost right alignment
the rear thing was a bit easier, I only filed the hole support (for the differential, suspension, axle, ecc) to get it lower and the new wheels were mounted on the box axle.

for the bodykit, front bumper was the easist part, big file work, and then some plasticard and putty
almost the same wor the rear bumper, but a little harder to get in shape.
for the side skirts, I cut the plasticard in shape and glued to the body, the original side skirt helped me to get the angle I wanted to reach

hope to have answered at least a little, feel free to do any question
