I have isolated this problem to the driver door and what I think is a switch that moves when the door is shut.
Is this the part I need? http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,ca...,parttype,4360 Do I really have to take apart the whole door? How hard is this to do? I apologize if I've posted this somewhere before. I thought I did but I couldn't find it. Da!n thing ran my battery down tonight. SAVE ME WINDSTAR GOD!!! YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!!

Re: Interior and hood lighting blinking on and off as if controlled by Demons
I'm far from being the expert you need but here are my two cents.
I don't know if the '95 Windstar has the sensor integrated into the door latch (I know other '95 models like my Lincoln do) if so, you might want to try cleaning the LATCH with some WD40 to remove all dirt and stuff and then use some silicon spray to wash away the WD40 and lubricate the latch. This is a common problem with many Fords and that the solution that has worked for most of us. Oscar. EDIT: Just found out yours does not comes with the integrated latch and you're right about the part you might need. you can try cleaning it as I wrote above and see if it works. If it doesn't might want to try jumping both terminals in the harness and see if the problem goes away, just to be sure. I'm sorry I'm of no use when it comes to the replacement procedure, mine is totally different.

This (the part I cited) would also cause the door ajar alarm to sound off continuously too right?
F'in aggravating and now I've pulled fuse 29 to save my battery so that means I can't roll down windows in addition to not having cabin lights. Well, I'll start simple with the oil trick. I just didn't think I should spray oil in there since somewhere there is an electric sensor that might catch the oil. I appreciate your reply olopezm.

You're welcome.
That's correct, it's a spring loaded contact that can get stuck with dirt. Cleaning it would definitely be the first step. Oscar.

Re: Interior and hood lighting blinking on and off as if controlled by Demons
I used to have all kinds of issues with interior lights either remaining on all the time or not lighting up when the doors were opened. I figured that because the doors would still beep when opened, the latch contacts were not the cause. When the lights got stuck on all the time the only way to temporarily fix this was to unplug/replug the battery, a major PITA for obvious reasons. Lived with it for two years until I replaced the battery cables with ones that had side post terminals, figuring these would be quicker to disconnect/reconnect to "fix" stuck on interior lights. Well lo and behold the cable change fixed all electrical issues instantly. Still scratching my head over that one because the old cables and connectors weren't loose or oxidized, could be that there was a problem with the battery posts that caused amperage issues I guess.

Re: Interior and hood lighting blinking on and off as if controlled by Demons
Yes, it is probably controled by Demons. You see, Windstars were designed by Demons in the first place. The design philosophy was enchant "us", to spend our money and purchase one, then from that point, torment us forevermore.
