Thumbs down damn alarm

ok, this fuckin thing goes off EVERY night right around 9 - 10 PM ... I dunno what the deal is cause there is never anyone out there and one time my dad was outside and he saw nobody/nothing touch it and it went off ... im bout to call audio pros in modesto tommorow and have em fix this shit ... and while they are at it they can wire up the trunk to the alarm which they conveinently forgot the first time

its an audiovox prestige platinum if you guys are wondering

Car alarms are weird sometimes... Like my old alarm, I could smack the car with my fist, and it wouldn't go off, but then an acorn would fall out of a tree and hit it and it would light up...

One time, I had to call the cops to my house, and when the cop drove up, I was watching him, and he came no-where near my car and the alarm went off. He said that sometimes, the radio signals from cop cars will set off alarms, so maybe there's some kind of radio signals setting yours off?

truck bed are not sensitive because they are rubber mounted to the frame you would need a seperate sensor for the bed, all trucks are the same

wassup Melt,

Let me guess Clifford alarm? if not.. Im guessing you have a proximity sensor in the car along with a shock sensor? let me know.. ill try to help you. ive worked with so many clifford and 6-7 out of 10 comes back with false triggers etc. but sometimes if you have a shock sensor with a proximity sensor . it can cause false trigs too.. especially if the proximity unit is laying near metal or on metal.. it needs to be away from metal.. put little padding under if you have it place near metal..

good luck

Tuan

update: I called em and they are gonna check it out tommorow.

I also asked them about the trunk and he said its gonna be extra to hook that up so fuck it ... its pretty hard to pop the trunk from the outside of the car anyways.

yo haven ... where you gonna be at? maybe we can chill :coolguy:
