1993 clutch
Hey all, I have a 1993 F-150 4.9 with 5 on the floor. The throwout bearing is shot and I have grinding no matter what gear I am in. I believe I have the m5od-r2 (M code) mazda trans in the truck and am wondering if I have a 10 or an 11 inch plate in there so I can get the proper clutch kit before I tear into it. Thanks, Guy

Re: 1993 clutch
Quick update, lost the clutch completely, was gonna turn the truck around in the driveway. I can start it but the clutch won't engage to move in any direction.

Personally I like to take the vehicle apart before I get the parts so I know I get what I need. Call your parts vendor to see if they have either part on hand or if they need to be ordered. You may also need a pressure plate because of the bad throw out bearing more than likely wore on the fingers of pressure plate. |

Re: 1993 clutch
Well I've never done a clutch, so just trying to get an idea. The parts store has the 11" in stock, but I have to order the 10". The 11" is also $100 cheaper.
