Hello everyone. Just wanted to say hello and say a bit about myself. I'm 33, married with 3 kids (12,5,1 1/2 yrs old). I have been building models for about 23 yrs off and on. I would like to thank sk8ter_in_ny for telling me about this site. Between my family and working 6 days a week as a patent bindery line operator I don't get alot of time for model building but I do it when I can. Hope to learn and help when I can. I primarily build mopar muscle cars but also build bugs for my wife (her favorite) and those wild custom models like the AMT Li'l Gasser Car I am currently working on now. Talk to everyone later.

Hello Race. My boy is the 5 yr old, the other 2 are girls. My oldest girl (12) is already doing models, has been for about 3 years now. She is currently working on the Mystery Machine kit from Polar Lights. She got hooked watching me putting mine together and asking what the parts were and before long she was telling me where the parts were and helping me pick out colors to paint the models. My wife has even build a couple kits now. I'm getting them all hooked, hehehehehe. My wife even picks out some of the models that I buy.

Welcome Marc,

I've only been here a week or so, but there's all kinds of great pics and discussion here. My boy is only 9 months, so he's a bit young for the 'bench' yet.

Do you mean the Volkswagen Beetle? I am building a Tamiya New Beetle right now. Would be great if you are able to post pics of your built "bugs" (beetle or not) models to share. Personally, I love the beetle.
