2002 LS No heat

New to the site and very impressed with the helpful knowledge. i have no heat in the LS at no settings. The AC runs good but does not seem to be regulated as it blows cold at any temp setting. The fan responds to settings but i still get no heat even with the AC turned off. I would like to find a diagram that shows the locations of the bleed valves to start a coolant air bleed, any help would be appreciated

Re: 2002 LS No heat

Welcome to the forum!

Is your LS a V6 or V8? That will be helpful in identifying the locations of the cooling system bleed valves. However, if you have not done anything with the cooling system recently to introduce air, I doubt that's the problem. There are several posts on this forum regarding no heat.

see my post called "Air Bubble". I have a heat issue as well but i get no heat unless the rpms are up, and the higher the rpms, the warmer the heat. At idle, it turns cold. I've had it professionally flushed twice. Seems that whenever there is a heat or AC issue, everybody points to the DCCV. I don't like fixing whats not broke so i have to know exactly whats wrong. I was told to grab the pump and check for vibration but there will be vibration if the motor is running, so tha'ts not a very good test. Looking for ideas and the procedure from the repair manual.

Re: 2002 LS No heat

I am new to this site but trying to find answers about my car. It first started with a burning smell and then started overheating. I ended up getting I think it was the radiator fan replaced. Very expensive. I still have the burning smell and now my heat is not working. What might be the cause.

Re: 2002 LS No heat

The boil over caused a shortage of coolant, you need to make sure the proper coolant bleed procedure is done on both radiator, and heater core.

The valve cover and spark plug boss seals could of been damage by heat, causing leaks + smoke.
