exhaust pipe flange broken

this is the pipe between the precat and the cat...the elbow pipe. the ends of the flange are broken off and the pipe is a real pain to get off according to a couple different people i have spoken to. Any ideas out there? or known fixes aka home made fixes? Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you. Dave

You'll be WAY ahead to pull the manifold. You'll likely have to drill and use an EZ-out on that stud.

I want to avoid removal of the front pipe until I have exhausted all other options(no pun intended). Has anyone used the replacement cat flanges like the ones they sell at Pepboys? Thanks.

See attachment customizing exhaust pipe flange with a Nikson clamp-a-stud. This should do the trick for less than 40 bucks.
