4T65e
I've been following the following thread for awhile.
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=899929 I plan to do the lower pan portion of the Transgo kit next spring (was supposed to be this spring, but I did my wife's LIM gaskets instead). I understand that I may not be able to avoid opening the side pan one day in the future, which won't be fun. If it's necessary to open the side pan to deal with the PCS issue, is it worth it to address these other possible valve body issues at the same time? (see http://www.transmissioncenter.net/alto_2.htm for reference) Item #4: boost sleeve wear Item #5: TCC bore wear Item #6: forward and reverse servo boost valve wear It seems to me that the most common problem is the PCS which is corrected by the Transgo kit. Dealing with the other possible issues seems a fair bit more involved and a little pricey. If it's really not that bad to do once the side pan is off, I'm not against doing it, but if the transmission is ready for a rebuild anyway at that point, it wouldn't be worth it for me to do all that extra work. |

Re: 4T65e
The tcc valve bore wear seems to haunt a lot of these valve bodies, that can be fixed with the Sonnax kit.
