|
Automatic Transmission in Dodge truck does not shift
My Dodge truck does not shift correctly. It will tach high and sometimes I have to put in neutral to et it to shift. The rpms are high when it shifts. I replaced the transmission but problem still there.Help!

would suggest a Superior brand or Transgo shift kit ,,,,,does wonders for that trans,,,don't forget to remove check valve in cooler line,,that will help it from trashing the OD in the trans.......

Is your kickdown hooked up and functioning correctly? If not it won't shift properly and will fry the transmission!!! Kickdown must be connected on Chrysler transmissions unless you have a manual shift valve body, and it must also be set correctly or it will not shift

Rainbow, all good advice so far. What year is your truck? Did your other tranny do the same thing? Check engine light on?
