Re: Help me choose an in-car entertainment system!
it's mostly about features, so I would stay mainstream company. I would think anything from Alpine, Pioneer, etc .. would be a good choice. Some of the features you want will probably end up as add-ons.

Re: Help me choose an in-car entertainment system!
What car do you have? Are you looking for a double din or single din stereo? Chevys only take a 1.5 or single din stereo.
I've never been a fan of built-in navigation. Unless you can afford it or need it that way. I'd rather buy a portable GPS for $100 with lifetime map updates. I've been happy with Pioneer. There's Kenwood as well. Pioneer you can go on a wide range of prices. Looks like this would do everything but the 7" for $680: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...IC-X930BT.html This does everything for $900: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...IC-Z130BT.html 6.1" but no GPS or SD slot (has USB, who needs SD?) for $300: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...od-DDX318.html All but navigation for $380, does the upgrade for navi for $310, if you can find the adapter. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...-P4300DVD.html Here's a license plate camera with a good rating for $95: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...on-VTL420.html I like SonicElectronics website. You can look up the options you want and see consumer reviews of the products. I did all this in about 20 minutes. Check it out if you need more info.

The ultimate personal entertainment/multi media system is a mobile hot spot, Ipad, and use Google voice, Google maps, Pandora, Hulu+, and WWW.
How about some Apps from Apple store. 911 App GPS App CB Radio App Speed limit App Speed Trap App Red light camera app Backup/rear view camera App ATM Locator App Gas buddy App Restaurant App Beer App Strip club App Last edited by danielsatur; 08-08-2012 at 08:48 PM. |

it's mostly about functions, so I would remain popular organization. I would think anything from Downhill, Innovator, etc .. would be a excellent option. Some of the functions you want will probably end up as add-ons.
