Painting Sedan Wheels?

Hi.

I have a 1990 Civic LX with the completly stock 13" rims.
It has the stock hubcaps with the "H" symbol at the top.
Do you think if I took the hubcaps off and painted the rims pure black it would look good?
My civic is a 4 door white civic.
I saw one of you guys with a purple 4 door had painted theirs and it looked pretty good.
Because as of now I just cant afford new rims and tires.
Also, if I did what type of spray paint would I have to use?
Will I have to remove the wheels?

Thanks,
Owen

we did my friends white 95 civic ex coupe a while ago and it came out pretty good.

If you dont have access to a sandblaster then just pressure wash it real good.

End result

Heres the pics of the entire process
