looking at 95 intrepid
I'm presently looking at a 95 intrepid. It is to replace my 94 intrepid, which I really liked. The 95 has a 3.5 litre with 242000kms on it. The body looks very good as does the interior. The seller doesn't think it needs much for a safety.
This car will be my winter beater. I was wondering if anyone can tell me of any issues with this year and more specifically if the 3.5 is a reliable motor? Thanks |

Re: looking at 95 intrepid
First of all thanks for the reply trannyman.
My 94 has a 3.3 in it. It has been a good motor. Is the 3.5 comparable to it. Also in terms of fuel economy? |

Re: looking at 95 intrepid
The 2.7L is the only one that really has a lot of issues,,,,,,mileage should be about he same,,,my take is to change the oil regulary,,,and stay away from the water oil 5w15,,,of the such,,,I like the heavy stuff 10W40,,,15W40,,actually looks like oil,,guaranteed to protect!!!!!!! If it's good enough for a diesel engine,,,,it's good enough for my crappy car..........
