Alfa Romeo Giulia 24h Classic

Hello

After a little break I can show you another finished model: a Alfa Romeo Giulia built the way as it runs in the “24h Classic Series”, a series that runs at the weekend of the 24h race on the Nürburgring

The Giulia is built from a Diecast body from Fabbri. The paint was stripped, doors and rear hood fixed and puttied. Panel-lines needed some rework. Front hood was modified and the grill reworked. Then the body was cast in resin.

- Chassis, tnterior Tamiya Alfa GTA
- rims MFH TZ1
- tires Scaleproduction 13" Slick
- Decals custom made with the ALPS
- trumpets Tamiya Alfa DTM
- weber carburators
- racing seat, fire extinguisher Tamiya GT2
- towing hooks, hood pins Scaleproduction

Very cool! Who cares if it is plastic, resin, or commercial diecast...a model is a model, and this is a great example of thinking "outside the box"

Super conversion. I do like the Fabbri models and have the Lancia Fulvia and Alfa Spyder in my collection. This is a great example of using parts from a variety of manufacturers. Luckily, most of them are prepared to sell parts from kits to allow just such projects as yours,
I also like the driver figure, would you tell where you got him from please.
Regards, Steve.

Re: Alfa Romeo Giulia 24h Classic

Thanks for the link Mike. I will order the Fangio figure to go with my W196 and keep an eye on any more figures from Craft 10. The figures look really good.
Regards, Steve.

Re: Alfa Romeo Giulia 24h Classic

Looks so awesome, love the panel line finishes you have done. Very natural and realistic. This one is definitely one of the good looking Alfas!
