Is it necessary to remove battery before connecting something to the radio?
Well basically I'm installing this (http://www.ebay.com/itm/PIE-CHRY02-A...ht_2056wt_1270) to the back of my radio. All I have to do is connect one connector to an empty socket on the back of my radio. The instructions state "Disconnect the negative battery terminal" as one of the steps.
My battery is behind my right tire, I am 18 years old and don't have extensive car knowledge, thus I know very little about the battery or what the "negative battery terminal" is. My question to you all is: is this really necessary? I drive a 2006 Chrysler Sebring. |

Hey man, i live right near you in macomb. I have a 2007 sebring and i assume your problem is figured out? its nov. 2 and you posted on the 17th. If you need help let me know and i can explain what it is, but i would say no you do not have to. i did a similar thing and did not disconnect anything.
