MMCS - Blank, Battery was shorted?
Hi All
Due to a negligent chap who 'helped' jump start my car by putting the jumper cables on the wrong way for the batteries, now the MMSC has "passed out"! Blank Screen, no activation cd option required, nothing. Tried to locate any fuses for this and really not sure why I cant spot any?  Can anyone help with a few things to check on this problem? Will in the mean time try to locate answers closer to home and will post here. TIA

Well - even though I put the "boot disk" in and moved the car out to get the trailer loaded. Then restarted the car and .... the MMCS Started up again.
I then drove out to the dump, stopped the car, restarted and it still went. So I dont know how but the problem is fixed. I did however stop in at the Auto Electricians and ask him to test the battery and that showed that although it was 100% charged, it was only 70% on capacity so looks like its tiring and needed a replacement in the not too distant future. So consider this post 'closed'!
