Question brown/white & red/yellow wires?

I am wanting to get a system hooked up in my car here in the next few months.. When I bought the car there was extra wiring in the trunk that was run from the front of the car. I didn't buy it straight from the previous owners so i was unable to ask them questions about it. Anyways, in the trunk there are two sets of brown/white and red/yellow wires and they aren't run to anything. I know that whoever owned it before had stuff done to the car and all, and replaced with stock everything... If anyone has any ideas what these could or were run to I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

~Jennah

Sounds to me like the wires are for extra speakers.

have you pulled out your radio to check if they tapped into the speaker level outputs for an amp? that's how I have my system running right now, easiest way to check if they are is to buy a cheap speaker from radioshack (like $5) and hook it to the wires.. if the speakers work, you can hook up a speaker level converter for RCA outputs to an amp, or get an amp with speaker level inputs. mine is just run straight into the speaker level inputs and it sounds great... until I get a new headunit mine works fine..
