Cruise control

I have a 1996 jimmy and it has no cruise control, if i replace the signal switch and add the cruise control modular, will that work?or am I just wasting my time.

Are you trying to add cruise to the truck or does it have it and it does not work?

It does not have it and want to have it!

I'm guessing you'll need harness(s) of some sort. I would consult with a buisness that installs add on cruise systems to be sure. I've never installed a cruise system, but worked on plenty of them.

The wires are there just have to plug in.....just wondering if i have to reprogram the PCM

Update: After installing the cruse control took for a road test and it worked
