K & N versus BMC

Hey guys,

Which air filter is better BMC or K&N?

How much (if at all) does a panel airfilter in a stock airbox boost power and torque by?

Never heard of a BMC so cant comment on which is better.

If that is the only thing you change the increase will be minmal at best. Paper filters when new flow very well.

Here is a really cool test. It's in Japanese, but all the important stuff is readable.

BMC is, I believe, an Italian company whose products are ditributed here(NZ) by Retro Products in Auckland.
Their claim to fame is to have produced "...world champion Formula 1 Air Filter"[Ferrari]
BMC produce a high quiality range of filters from replacement panel to full ram flow, Carbon Fibre enclosed CAI systems...to suit most applications...
Retro did a system for a V6 Mondeo and netted 5kw @ the wheels with theur CDA set-up

Forget Panel filters! Ditch your air box and go BMC CDA EVO2!or Apexi at the least...
