Radiator questions
Have a 1994 Buick Lesabre, engine is a VinL. There is a crack in the top of the radiator and was looking into replacing instead of putting a band aid on it. Looking at the parts online, they either come with or without oil cooler. Does mine call for one or not, and how do I tell?

Re: Radiator questions
Are there eng. oil lines that thread into the side tank of the radiator? If so, it has an oil cooler. There is probably a trans cooler in it also. If your not sure which is which, follow the lines from the radiator and see where they go, engine or trans. I don't remember theses cars having a engine oil cooler on them. It may...just don't remember it.

Re: Radiator questions
The 94 Vin L does not have an oil cooler, so you would order without..
In some cases, depending on who you get your radiator from.... You could get a radiator with a larger cooling core( better for you in the hot months ), and in other cases you might get a radiator that has the oil cooler in it weather its required for you or not... Look on the drivers side of the radiator, I am very certain you will not have any lines on the drivers side.... But you will have trans cooler lines on the passenger side of the radiator.. Best of luck.. |
