All UK Modellers

OK, first post here, and i am trying to add more and more detail to my models as i progress in my modelling career!

But i have a question about adding a clear coat to my models

I have used car paints from halfords before, but now i have switched to tamiya sprays as i find they are slightly better but does anyone know if you can use halfords clear satin on your models over the top of tamiya sprays?

Will the paints react or will the satin clear attack the decals?

Any help would be great

Thanks

Rich

Welcome

The Halfords clear should be fine over Tamiya paint. You will need to spray several light mist coats first before any heavier wet coats so as not to attack the paint. Same goes for decals.

Halfords paints/lacquers can be polished with any auto polish/wax. I use Autoglym's Paint Renovator and/or Super Resin Polish.
