Ferrari 16M

Hello AF! I started this as a doulble build with a scuderia. My pics are all over the place and I'm rushing today. I started with an F430 kit and a Scuderia; which I'm using to share parts with my other kit, since I was not happy with the original kit's result. I added the scuderia bumpers and I plan on using the interior, chassis and engine area for obvious reasons.

Here are some pics
The car has its's basecoat already and awaits stripes which will be added later today after I wetsand the body to eliminate orange peel .

Crazy Modeler brakes and Hobby Design calipers. The set on original Scud were damaged, so I had to replace them with the ones in new kit for the 16M

Rear diffuser with studio27 twill weave cf decals and unpolished 2k clear

Engine bay gets reg studio27 cf and 2k clear

The interior got scale motorsport hi-def cf decals and will attemp two tone suede interior

That's all for now. Comments are welcomed. Thanks for looking!

I like the brakes and CF. Curious to see that body finished.

Kris.

It looks very weird without that panel line and I cannot say I like it. It's your model, of course, but I'd try to restore it. That would also be a good time to blend in the air outlets on the sides of the front bumper. I'd also glue in the sideskirts before paint.

The CF work looks really nice.

Mate, again, it's your model so you have to do whatever makes you happy, and I'll be happy for you as well I just gave a couple of suggestions, and the thing about the paint is that it can be removed

Me too. Painting the body is the step that tests my patience the most

Here are a few pics. For some reason I have yellow spots on white paint. I will do more research on it. Of course they appeared after I put on the stripes.

I tried casting my own sideskirts since the ones from original Scuderia are in bad shape, but I failed. So for the moment I will probably use the F430 rockers

I also would like your thoughts on the wheel choice so far:
BBS

RE30

I just had to try the stiching as on the 1:1 car, so I tried again. This time I split the thread so that it would be thinner and here are the results.

Headlights with cf and LED strip so far

Thanks for looking

Re: Ferrari 16M

Hello AF!
QUick update here. I was able to solve the yellowing problem. Turnes out that I was supposed to paint the car silver or black to block any bleeding form the plastic and/or any agents found in it. Learn something new I did SO no the body is painted/cleared/polished. I used A+ Club decals and now feel that painting the stripes, though more difficult, would have looked better. The decals are a little thick.

Before polishing

Added some PE and opened trunk "grill"

On the engine I added the usual fuel rails, detail wires and hoses. I had to play with the parts for a bit since I mixed F430 and Scuderia parts. In the end it fits well, so I'm happy.

Re: Ferrari 16M

Nice works! The seats are cuuuuuuuuuuuute~~~~~ Perfect color scheme over all! The 458 style wheels will suit the 16M best IMO.
