Front seat swap

Does anyone know if the front seats from 95 windstar would fit on a 98 windstar without any modification??? I am assuming so without looking right now. I can get them free and the driver seat on the 98 has some hole in it. I could just get covers but haven't at thi point.

thanks

Re: Front seat swap

I have a '98 and put seats from an earlier model Windstar into it. I basically did it because I wanted QUAD seating. (i.e. 4 bucket seats versus a middle bench seat) It's been a very long time since I did this, but I recall all the holes lined up. The '98 seats had studs that went through the floor. The 'earlier' seats didn't, so I went to the hardware store for some bolts, washers, and nuts. I put some 'plumbers putty' on the bolts to keep things water tight. The seats I have now are a million times better than the original seats. (more comfortable)

I did run into a minor issue with the middle seats. I had to transfer the seat belt bracket onto the passenger side middle seat. I had a friend with a tig welder do it in like 10min.

Hope this helps!!!
