Project truck, advice please

Hello all,
glad to find this forum.

I am about to start a project truck, 1975 GMC 1/2 ton longbed.
I will need to put an engine & tranny in this truck and here is where I really need some help. I was turned on to GEARHEAD Engines from a buddy. He bought a very similar 350 4 bolt main from GH. has had it about 6 months and loves it.

The people at GH seem helpful, but not pushy.
They are a fully owned subsidiary of ATK.

I am considering buying a complete drop in engine 350 4 bolt.
It comes with a Edlbrock manifold and carb. Also a Summit racing HEI distributor.

Any words of wisdom good or bad about this company?

Thanks,

Have no direct info on this dealer but a crate engine is advisable if you cannot do your own work or have no core to work with, a 383 from Summit worked out fine in my shop.

Thank you for the help.

It is more the time than the ability.
There is no core also.

I need to be able to drive it,
sooner rather than later.
