No Auto Door locks

Main squeeze has a 2005 Grand Am, no factory radio, and the locks released when she parked and killed the engine.

So no more auto locks.

She has to manually hit the switch to unlock the doors. To her its trumatic.

Suggestions?

Sounds like you may have a problem with the BCM. Scan for any codes and post back.

She might also have reprogrammed the door lock feature...
there is 4 modes.

IIRC it's set by maintaining the lock button for more than 10 seconds.

Good catch thephantom1492. To program, have vehicle in park, ignition on, press and hold "lock" for 10 seconds. You should hear a chime. 1,2,3 or 4 chimes, these indicate what mode you're in.

Mode 1- All doors lock when vehicle is shifted out of park, all door unlock when vehicle is placed back into park and key is turned off.

Mode 2- Same as mode 1, only drivers door will unlock.

Mode 3- Same as mode 1, no doors unlock.

Mode 4- Disables auto lock and unlock.

If you need to change modes, press and hold "lock" again fo 10 sec. Repeat process until the mode you want is chimed.

without the factory radio, no.

However, you have 4 modes, so at worse 4 tries.
