auto tranny temp sender

have a 2000 grand prix w/3.1 engine
where is the trany temp sender located
mine reads _38 degrees all the time with my otc scan tool

You need to remove the side cover of the transmission in order to access the solenoids and sensor.

You sure its not an issue with your OTC scan tool? Try a GM Tech 2.
