New car

I'm a 17 yr old guy currently a senior in high school.
i want to know of a good car to buy for around $2,000.

Things i'm looking for:
-wont fall apart
-quick(not fast but enough that i can show off somewhat)
-good gas mileage
-easily customized

want but dont need
-manual
-power windows and locks

When you are talking only $2000 , your options are limited. But anyway, what about something simple like a 5 speed corolla or a integra for instance. In S.C. , they should be fairly plentiful and in reasonable condition seeing as how you are below the rust belt, I would assume? If that is not enough for options then I would also consider a ford focus or a sentra. All these cars are ( in my judgement) good choices for reliability and mileage. Stay clear of kia's and hyundai's for they will not take much hammering and everybody has one.
