99 Dodge Ram 1500 Runs hot and cuts off.

So i ahve a 99 dodge ram 1500 truck that drives fine but it seems like once the engine warms up a little the truck will cut off. It will crank over but not fire up so usually i have to let the truck sit for about 20-30mins so it can cool down. once it is cooled down a little it will start back up and then a few minutes later it will cut off again. We checked the fuel.. the spark and it wasnt getting neither... So im leaning towards a bad ECU. I was wondering if anyone here had this problem before?
