Wheel squeaks when turning right, 2003 grand am help***!
I just got my brakes replaced about a month ago, but now my front driver-side wheel makes a squealing sound when i turn to the right (only to the right). it sounds faster when i am moving faster, for example longer squeaks for fewer wheel revolutions. what could it be? Thanks for your help!

Welcome to AF!!
Pull the wheel and check to see if anything is making contact with the rotor or the caliper. There is a possibility that the pad has slipped and is shifting and contacting the rotor when you turn right. Also check to see if the caliper bolts are tight. The other possible issue is that the wheel bearing is going bad. If you hear the noise if you move the steering wheel only slightly I would believe that the bearing may have an issue. Otherwise concentrate on the brake and its components. |

Check the backing plate to see if it's contacting the rotor....
